The Carrier

I came across The Carrier from a thread on the Bridge 9 board, and I’m definitely into the 3 tracks they have up on their myspace. They’ve got some catchy-as-hell melodic riffs backed with some heavy-ass breakdowns. And by catchy and melodic I don’t mean lightweight, poppy, bounce up-and-down with a smile on your face bullshit… The Carrier have a lot of girth behind their tunes and a dark, emotional edge, not unlike the vibe of Modern Life is War. They have a s/t 7″ available on Words of War Records, and supposedly a new album called One Year Later coming out on Rock Vegas Records but their website has disappeared off the face of the earth so I’m not sure if and when it will be available. At Words of War you can also get some nice shirts featuring classic hardcore standbys such as skulls, necrophilia, and conjoined twins.
