Darkest Hour shirts

Darkest Hour played here the other night and they fucking owned the place. The show was at a small club with a low ceiling, and the place was pretty full so everything was up close and personal.
It’s been about 5 years since they last came through, and it’s cool to see how much they’ve grown as a band. John Henry had much more of a frontman persona this time, engaging the crowd the whole set. Mike looked pretty stoned and was high five’n everyone between riffs. I love seeing bands that can kill it but still be totally laid back and having fun. They haven’t let whatever level of success they’ve achieved go to their head.
My shitty cell phone camera doesn’t have a flash so I couldn’t get any decent pics of their merch. Most of what they had is available through their site, so click here to check it out.
I think my fave is the Undoing Ruin artwork, pictured below. Chris Taylor does some creepy shit, and although the actual album art is more colorful than the shirt version, I think it’s works really well in it’s reduced form. That kid creeps me out. They also have a shirt dedicated to their roadie “Tito” which I thought was pretty funny.
